‘The Kalahari Typing School for Men’ by Alexander McCall Smith

July 24, 2010

This is a nice book. It seems to be a crime novel in some sense, but the only crime occurring is the theft of a radio. It’s a nice, quiet read, set in Botswana, dealing with nice and (mostly) well-behaved people. I can well imagine that one may become addicted to these books (the Mma Ramotswe series) when one reads many of them, as I did to Glauser’s novels, which seem similar in spirit.
